Alone at the Top
| Surprisingly, considering the ups and downs of this season, KU clinched its 14th consecutive Big 12 title last night against Texas. It was also senior night so a home farewell to Devonte Graham, Svi Mykhailuk and Clay Young. The team is hoisting the trophy. Below, the first 13 trophies with the newest one on its own pedestal. |

We Can Do Something
| Stacy and I helped Artists Helping the Homeless serve a meal at Mill Creek Park on the Plaza. It may not be much but it's something to help. |

Let's Not Make This Hard
| Cover the previous year's sticker up with the new sticker. This isn't hard. Do you think it's colorful to use this approach, do you want to show you've lived here for 6 years, or can you just not follow instructions? I would really like to stop someone who sports this look and ask their philosophy on the task. |

| Amazing cinnamon rolls we had for lunch in Topeka. Dinner plate size. And, yes, I ate the whole thing. |

Suprise Sunday!
| We served cherry pie for the first Surprise Sunday at Colonial. The pie, in celebration of Washington's birthday, was accompanied by trivia about his crossing the Delaware. |

A Key Solution
When couples attach their love lock to the old Red Bridge, they have traditionally tossed the key into the Blue River below to lock their love. But that turns out to be bad for the environment. So now they have a box for the keys. In the future an artist will melt the collected keys and shape the molten metal into a monarch butterfly sculpture. The organization Monarchs on the Move has taken on the project in conjunction with the Kansas City parks department. Apparently the river's ecosystem is fragile and important to the healthy migration of monarch butterflies in their annual treks to and from Mexico.
