We were taking a photo to use next year to compare how tall they each stood in the water. Colin over estimated how far out he could stand up and still breathe. Then we adjourned to the barn for some Foosball.

Thank You, Dolly

Stacy stacked up all the books her kids have received through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library program. The library provided a free book once a month until age 5 to all kids who signed up. The program will live on, partly through donations like the recent $2 million donation from Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.

I continue to see trees losing large branches, even without a storm. This one fell across Outlook near us.
 

Backpack Blessing

The kids were getting their backpacks blessed for the coming school year. They were supposed to hold them up so some covered their faces. Lowell and Vala are sporting some face-paint from the night before.
 

Hiccup Pickup's Road Trip

Jim "Mr. Stinky Feet" Cosgrove signed a copy of his new book, Hiccup Pickup's Tasty Road Trip, for Colin and Adam. They also enjoyed a reading of the book by Jim with commentary by the artist, Dan Regan.

Gammy Camp

Kids are headed to the pool. Then they sat for the required group shot. We spent our last day at the pool before school schedules get in the way.

A few jumps and Adam's first leap off the diving board, proving he can swim to shore.

Lowell and Vala enjoyed Kidscape at Johnson County Museum, including touring in a 1957 Chevy.

We also took advantage of the museum itself to take a carnival photo.

Slime Extraordinaire

I took Vala to Rainbow Slide as her birthday experience. It was amazing. She made her own slime, walked in it and stretched it in a rainbow of colors. Even basketball with slime balls.
