Savannah Banana Excitement

The Savannah Bananas are playing sold out games against the Indianapolis Clowns this weekend at Kauffman Stadium. They made a stop at Scheel's to sign autographs and this girl was the lucky first one up. The line was endless so I went in search of the source of the excitement and discovered these players arriving.

Pregnant Bridesmaid

I was 7 months pregnant with Stacy when Anita asked me to be a bridesmaid. I thought she was kidding because at that point I hadn't know anyone to have noticeably pregnant bridesmaids. Now I know several. It was 47 years ago this week. 1979

Art Along the River

Artists were at work this weekend on the murals along the Missouri River. For three years they have been working to beautify the riverfront and they have. I missed the artists but enjoyed the results.

Down It Falls

Squirrels spent a lot of time creating this nest in the top of the oak tree but the winds decided it wasn't secure enough. Quite a mess. I guess no squirrels were hurt in the fall.

Can We At Least Make Them Match?

Neither street name is correct on the sign on the Missouri side of State Line. On the Kansas side of the street (below) they got them both correct. You'd think they might have noticed when they erected the Missouri side signs. Just a tiny detail but come on. The names College and Red Bridge at least are correct.

Happy Creation

I had to travel a way to find this heart. "Happy Creation" was created by Happy Dorita as a reminder that the best things in life start from the heart. It is in front of the Eudora Community Museum

Priced to Sell

Colin and I visited the folks setting up the church rummage sale. They were pricing so they put a price on him and asked if I'd pay that for him. It would be a bargain! He also helped Elizabeth examine the toys.
