Pie for the People!

We didn't get to eat in Upper Crust but we were able to pick up a pie flight to enjoy. "Eat More Pie" included a slice of apple crumble, peach and raspberry sourcream. Delicious. We hope for COVID restrictions to end so we can enjoy it in house ala mode.

Fiddlers at the Tasteful Olive followed by a Thanksgiving sample pie flight at The Upper Crust. What more could you want on a Friday night?

Suprise Sunday!

We served cherry pie for the first Surprise Sunday at Colonial. The pie, in celebration of Washington's birthday, was accompanied by trivia about his crossing the Delaware.

Third Friday Splendor

Third Fridays in Downtown Overland Park are always fun. Little cold last night but I saw my friend Cathy Sherman's photos at Images Gallery and had a pie flight at the Upper Crust Bakery. The flight was pecan, German chocolate and raspberry rhubarb.

Pie Flight

The Upper Crust Bakery in old Downtown Overland Park offered "pie flights" last night during Third Fridays. They said it's named after an old definition of flight, as in flights of angels. They said their pies are a slice of heaven so why not a pie flight to introduce their pies? We had Lemon Custard, Dixie and Peach-Blueberry.
