Happy Birthday to Mom

We celebrated Mom's birthday in 1991. I love that Hayden has her "fancy" tape deck, which was probably playing a happy birthday tape.

Good Luck to Ray!

Mom and Dad with Hayden at Dad's retirement party. Always a favorite photo of mine. Happy birthday to Hayden on Monday.

Happy Birthday, Scott!

Scott's 20th birthday. Looks like he received a desk lamp. I hope he gets something that cool this year.

Before We Were Moms

A motley assortment of us in 1970 for an unknown occasion. Seems appropriate for Mother's Day. The front row grandmothers (and Aunt Grace) have large pocket books.

Mom and Dad's Easter Finery

They looked pretty spiffy on Easter in 1957.

Am I Safe?

You can see me on the left standing in my highchair. Everyone else is looking at Susan (looks like 3 candles on her cake) or more correctly something on the floor. 1954

She Won't Let You Win

Looks like a game of concentration. Mom never let the kids win so no hints. Hayden is concentrating to determine her next move as Stacy looks on. 1985

Mackinac Island Way Back

After photos of my family at Mackinac in the 90s, I thought this lovely photo of the Morgans in 1966 made an interesting comparison. Not sure what Mom is writing down but Scott is interested. I don't seem quite as fascinated.

Younger Than Us

Here's a collection of relatives with Mom and Dad. Dad is 47 and Mom is 46 so they're much younger than us now and yet I still think of them as older. Also pictured are Helen and Roy, Vala, Gussie, Grace and Marguerite (maybe). All dressed up for Steve's wedding. Dad is in his tux.

Four Generations

We gathered for lunch after Hayden's baptism a mere 42 years ago. You have to love Hayden's hat but I worked hard on it so she was going to wear it.

Light the Sparklers

Mom and I trying to light the darn sparklers on New Year's Eve. Always a challenge. 1969

Waiting to Play

On a lovely gray day, Mom and I are waiting with Stacy for the game to start.

Happy Birthday, Grandma!

You can't really read the signage but Hayden is holding Happy, I'm holding Birthday, and Stacy has Grandma. The girls added some of the color. Mom appears to be holding her cake. Seems appropriate since she would have been 100 on Tuesday.

Erin's KU graduation brought out this array of Morgan women. Styling it.

Family Dinner

A family dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Morgan's house on Madison. Unfortunately I must be taking the picture. They were getting ready to move so nothing on the walls. 1959

Traveling Wildcats

The K-State marching band performed at Washburn Rural High School on a Friday night because the director knew the high school band director. Mom and I went to see them because you can see the band up much closer in a high school stadium than a college one. 1998

Anyone Having Fun?

Always a challenge to take a grandchildren photo. Mom and Dad's 50th anniversary party in 1996. Happy Anniversary today.
