The New Wonderscope

The last time Lowell and I went to Wonderscope (pre-pandemic) it was in the old Flint School. The pandemic coincided with their new building campaign so today we experienced the new Wonderscope – new building, new play areas. It was crazy busy but the girls had fun.

Fun Yard Art

This balloon art is colorful. No signage with it so I don't know the occasion that inspired it.

Taps at the Tower

The National WWI Museum and Memorial presents Taps at the Tower at sunset a few days each June. It's quite impressive, especially when the sun cooperates with a beautiful sunset.

Solstice Artistry

An amazing sunrise greeted me on the morning of the Summer Solstice. A rainbow even appeared to the south at the same time. Wow!

Birthday Bash

Hayden and Matt had a double birthday party for the girls. Vala wasn't sure about the singing but loved the rest of it. A grand time was had by all.

Summer Delight

Who doesn't love a water frolic in the hot ol' summertime? Adam was reveling in it.

Dashing Group

We celebrated my great-aunt Helen and Wert's 50th wedding anniversary at Central Congregational Church in Topeka in August 1973. I'm not sure why I have a corsage - maybe I served cake. We all do look nice.

On the Move

Vala likes to push things but is just shy of walking on her own.
