Valentine and Chiefs Cookie Bakers

Grandkids helped bake cookies for Valentine's Day and a Chiefs victory. Vala was the only one with a successful Chiefs cookie but we had fun.

 

The Girls Are Cooking

Lowell and Vala created kitchen sink cookies that included all the things they like - chocolate chips, M&Ms and sprinkles. They were delicious.
 

Edible Spiders

I took this lovely butterfly to a Halloween party by Johnson County Parks and Rec. She made spider cookies, which she said made spiders much less scary.

 

Chefs Extraordinaire

Lowell, with some kibbutzing by Colin, whipped up some cookie bars.
 

Chiefs Snacks

I found this special Chiefs Shatto Milk at the store and added some special edition cookies. We tried the milk, which is red velvet flavor, and it was delicious. Tastes like drinking a cake. Vala really liked it but we thought she looked a bit like a vampire afterward.

 

Baking Time

The crew was busy helping make Halloween cookies. Imaginative minds saw angels as ghosts and leaves as bats so we had lots of cookie cutters to choose from. They wore the cooking smocks I made to stay clean.

 

Bagged and Ready

I had the pleasure of bagging 5 dozen Valentine cookies for church yesterday as a surprise gift after the services. At least I didn't have to bake and decorate them.
 

Baking with Gusto

My crack team of bakers helped create and decorate Valentine cookies. Even Colin made a showing.

Because we had such fun, here's a couple more Christmas Eve pics. They made sugar cookies for Santa, ornaments for Pops and Gammy's tree, and looked at pictures of Christmas lights.

Celebrating Kansas and the Chiefs

Stacy, Hayden and I made sugar cookies of Kansas (top) for Kansas Day on the 29th and arrowheads for the Chiefs. We more or less put the red hots where Topeka would be.
