Blending In

The butterfly house at the 60th anniversary celebration at Family Tree Nursery had an amazing number of butterflies but they blended in quite well. When I was inside, they were flying all around me but it was quite difficult to photograph.

 

Eggs in the Pond

This lovely spring display cleverly used Easter eggs as "fish" in the pond.
 

Snacks in the Garden

Since we couldn't go outside, I took Adam and Vala to Thou Mayest in Family Tree Nursery where we had a carrot muffin and some crackers among the plants.
 

A Visit with Santa

Looking for Fish

We were going to feed the fish but the feeder was empty. The pond was so murky you could barely see the fish.

Family Tree Nursery has opened a coffee shop - Cafe Equinox – in its Shawnee greenhouse. Wonderful place to sit and have a cup of coffee and/or a pastry.

Flower Festival

Family Tree Nursery is displaying its container gardens at the Overland Park Arboretum this year instead of in the nursery parking lot. A much nicer setting, if a bit further to travel.
