The Naked Ladies, or hardy amaryllis, are coming up, seemingly from nowhere. Not yet blooming but you can see their spikes.

Church Pot

I filled the abandoned pot by the back door of our church with plants in the spring because it looked forlorn. With help from staff who are watering it, it has thrived.

St. Scholastica

A life size mosaic of St. Scholastica, the patron saint at the Benedictine Sisters Mt. St. Scholastica monastery in Atchison where I was on retreat.

Flying Monkey

This is our flying monkey at work. He actually is a slingshot. You put your fingertips in pockets on his hands and pull his tail and he yells something and shoots across the room. He turned up following the rummage sale.

A Purple Something

I see this plant everywhere right now. I thought it was lavender but when I crushed the leaves, there was no fragrance. Hmmm.

Menorah from Pipe

Interesting Menorah made of pipe painted gold with lightbulbs as candle flames. Haven't passed it at night so don't know if it lights up. This is in front of the Chabad house Center of Kansas City, which houses a preschool, Kosher food pantry and Hebrew school. It's on the site of the old Indian Creek pool.

Deck Complete

Howard and Stacy finished repairs on Stacy's deck. No hole in the decking and all new railings.

Perfect Balance
