Cindy, Scott, Susan and I visited my aunt Helen in celebration of her 95th birthday (which was Oct. 6). It was a great visit.

A Night at the Ballpark

We started with beautiful weather and then the rains came. Fortunately only a 50 minute delay (and we were mostly dry in our seats). We didn't get the American League Division Series off to a good start. The Astros were the better team last night but it's not over yet.

It's Worked Before

Throwing back only one year, but wasn't it great? Hoping the magic will be back this year as we head into postseason play tonight.  Watch the Wild Card win here.

Neighborhood Art

The homeowner built the concrete pad awhile back and we've been waiting to see what it was for. Seems large LEGOs fits the bill.

No One Is Interested

I was given this butterfly bush free in July when I purchased some plants. It's spectacular now but the butterflies haven't been seen.

With the regular season over, Royals blue is popping up all over the city in anticipation of the postseason run. Go Royals!

Need a Ride?

Stagecoach rides were part of the festivities at the Mahaffie Stagecoach Stop in Olathe. Mahaffie is one of the few stagecoach stops left on the Santa Fe Trail. The facility was built in 1865.
