Jessie Cartwright, a fiber arts artist in Prairie Village, created this piece, hanging in Prairie Village City Hall, during COVID, she says as therapy. Fascinating what an artist can do with things other than paint. Interestingly, she is the daughter of artists Joseph and Anna Belle Cartwright, who are known for sculpting the "Homesteaders" statue in Prairie Village Shops. There's your art and history lesson for today.
