Last Splash

Lowell came for one more chance to swim in Round Hill pool. Strangely, we were the only ones there. It was delightful.
 

Heading Home

Vala at last was headed home. She got a wagon ride to the car on her way out of Children's Mercy. She has a feeding tube for a few more days but she's home and feeling good.

Cooling Off

Adam decided he needed to do more than wade in the Franklin Park stream. He needed a cooling shower in the waterfall.
 

Safety First

Not so much. Hayden rode in the back of our popcorn delivery van on the way back from moving Stacy to K-State. We only had 2 seats in it. It made me nervous the whole trip, to say the least. Great parenting. 🙃

Bird Watchers

Izzy and Bruno love to sit here in the kitchen and watch the birds at the feeder. Everyone is happy – they have something to watch and the birds are safe from harm.

The Children's Mercy chapel includes this garden for comfort, peace and prayer. Beautiful chapel and garden.
 

Balloon Glow

A beautiful night for the Kansas City hot air Balloon Glow at Liberty Memorial. Adam enjoyed the process of erecting the balloons, but not the sound of the fire.

A Kiss for George

Adam had a kiss and a hug for George at the Curious George exhibit in Crown Center.


 

Battling Back

Vala has spent the last couple of days at Children's Mercy Hospital with a virus that won't die. She seemed slightly better last night so we're hopeful it's moving on. It's not COVID.
 

Very Intent

Frances was certainly intent on her birthday cake. 1999. Happy birthday to her on Monday.
