As we celebrate our 43rd anniversary tomorrow, here we are in 1992 hanging out on the (rock) beach at Grand Marais, MN.

We came across this on a lot in Mission Hills. I said perhaps it was an at-home-school engineering project. Lot of effort was put into whatever it is.

Relocation Service

Our neighbor found a beehive too close to the house so this guy was removing them to take to a more hospitable location. I chose not to get close enough to see where they were or how he was removing them. It took him quite awhile.

Fairy Garden Additions

Lowell was delighted to see the new fairy garden but wanted to add some Fisher Price animals. I thought it was a nice addition. And it was delightful to have her visit again at last.

Don't Step On It

I've seen lots of sidewalk art during this quarantine but this is the first one that didn't want you to walk on it. So don't put it on the sidewalk! This artist had the whole driveway but created the art exactly in line with the sidewalk.

Dancing in a Secret Garden

The Kauffman Memorial Garden is closed but an amazing tulip display is in full bloom, which you can peak at through the fence.

Floating Beauty

Every spring the dogwood's enthrall me with their blossoms, floating on the branches. This year did not disappoint.

A Bit of Reassurance

Foghorn Leghorn reassuring us all that this will all work out. (For you youngsters, Foghorn was a Looney Tunes character from way back in the 60s, who didn't look exactly like this but I was reminded of him.) Saw him in the early morning darkness on my walk.

In Disrepair

The barns at historic Longview Farm are in disrepair and undergoing a stabilization review. Too bad. Built in 1913, they are impressive structures. At it's height, the farm had 51 buildings and a racetrack that seated 1,000. The remaining buildings are being encroached upon by apartment developments so I don't know how long they will remain.

Lonesome Road

I was standing in the middle of Mission Road about 7:00 p.m. and barely a car in sight. This is was stay-at-home looks like.
