Mission Hills is using these textile bags as part of a dredging of the pond in Mission Hills, often known as Eisenhower Lake. Last time they dredged it, apparently it released a terrible smell as the sludge was hauled off in trucks. This time the system pulls the water into the bags, the sediment settles and the water is returned to the pond. Takes about 2 months and Ensley Lane has to be closed. The goal is to make it more livable for fish again, and not annoy the nearby residents. |
