This sidewalk has been fixed so many times but it always buckles. I think these patches are attempts to make it easier for strollers but we always go in the street.

We couldn't get the fish to come to the surface to eat. Colin thought it might be too cold. They are outside but under a plastic roof.
 

Modern Age of Classical Music

This Graduate Fellowship String Quartet from the UMKC Conservatory was the pre-entertainment for a Trailblazing presentation we saw at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. They were excellent but I was fascinated that in this modern time, the musicians were playing music from their iPads.

 

Pancake Flipping

When it was time for the pancake competition at church, my grandchildren jumped right in.

 

Tiny Passenger

This brought a smile to my face to see a tiny passenger on a giant red pickup truck.

 

Salt Room Experience

We took Stacy to KC Salt Mine for a Himalayan salt room experience for her birthday (it took a while to get it scheduled). It was fascinating. We were in a cloud of salt for its healing power before we were done. 

Joining the Movement

Indian Hills students staged an anti-ICE demonstration on their athletic field. Hayden was a supervisor. They had about 75 kids participate.

A Fall of Powdered Sugar

In honor of Mardi Gras, Colin sampled his first beignet and enjoyed the spray of powdered sugar from the first bite. Can't eat one and not make a mess.
 

It's a Hedgehog

Or is it a bear? I've been trying to figure out what was on top of this chimney but it's always been dark and lit only by the Christmas lights. Now I can see.

 

Our Trivia Team

We placed third in the Trivia Night competition at church. We got a big boost from Joseph's musical knowledge.

So Many Games

Adam and I ventured to Cardboard Corner Cafe, where you can play all sorts of games and have waffles. We did both. This was Karak, which we never really figured out but we had fun with rules he invented.

Back when the Prayer Breakfast might have had a purpose (in this case the Kansas City Mayor's Prayer Breakfast), Dad and I attended one at the Hyatt. 1987

Colin was teaching me his yoga moves with this peacock pose. He learned it at daycare.
 

Fairy Masters

Eudora schools were out so the girls spent the day with me. They took advantage of the nice weather to rehab the fairy garden after the winter. Quite dusty.

Kings and Pharaohs, why not? They were dressing up in Sunday School. I don't know what the story was but who cares?

Vala and Lowell joined me to create fairy garden terrariums and did a beautiful job.

Adam started swimming lessons to get ready for the summer and also for water safety.

Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice

Colin enjoyed exploring the dinosaur exhibit at Crown Center. It's a traveling exhibit created by the Minnesota Children's Museum.

 

Recycling Holiday Lights

Many folks in and around Mission had Christmas lights to recycle. I do wonder where they end up. The manager at the desk didn't know.
 

Happy 4th Birthday!

We celebrated Colin's birthday with a Goldilocks and the Three Bears party. He was rarely still long enough to be photographed. I attempted to teach them how to build a birthday pyramid. Cousin Libby joined us.
