InVisible is an exhibit in the foyer at the Museum at Prairiefire by 12 homeless and recently homeless artists. The pieces, which are for sale, are presented to give viewers a new perspective of emotion through art. This piece is by Morgan (pictured below) who through drugs and alcohol became homeless. But four years clean, she is now a student at the Kansas City Art Institute. Fascinating exhibit. Accounting firm, MarksNelson, conceived of the exhibit after meeting homeless Kansas Citians through its Wrapped in Warmth project last winter. |
