A Centurion

This hydrant at 61st and Ward Parkway is going to be replaced as part of the Kansas City, MO 100-year replacement plan. This guy was installed in 1911 but doesn't have the capacity needed now. He's been there all this time and I never paid much attention. He does look different from modern hydrants.

No rain but lots of droplets in the morning.

Salesmanship with a Taste of Longing

These youngsters were supposed to be selling at the Preschool's bake sale but they spent a lot of time checking out what they would like to eat. They did prepare the food but I guess it looks better when it's wrapped. (They were having a water sports day, hence the apparel.)
