| The Aztec Theater in downtown Shawnee once again has a lit marquee although the theater is still a few months away from reopening to show classic movies. "A Hard Day's Night" might be the last movie I saw there. The theater opened in 1927 as the Mission Theater and was purchased by Dickinson Theaters in the 1940s and operated as the Aztec Theater until it closed in 1975. Below you can see how it looked in 1955. |
