So Many Games

Adam and I ventured to Cardboard Corner Cafe, where you can play all sorts of games and have waffles. We did both. This was Karak, which we never really figured out but we had fun with rules he invented.
 

Obeying the Traffic Laws

These geese may have been obstructing traffic but they were in the crosswalk.
 

Washington Praying

Back when the Prayer Breakfast might have had a purpose (in this case the Kansas City Mayor's Prayer Breakfast), Dad and I attended one at the Hyatt. 1987
 

Peacock Pose

Colin was teaching me his yoga moves with this peacock pose. He learned it at daycare.
 

Fairy Masters

Eudora schools were out so the girls spent the day with me. They took advantage of the nice weather to rehab the fairy garden after the winter. Quite dusty.

 

Kings and Pharaohs

Kings and Pharaohs, why not? They were dressing up in Sunday School. I don't know what the story was but who cares?
 

Creating Fairy Garden Terrariums

Vala and Lowell joined me to create fairy garden terrariums and did a beautiful job.

Swimming Safety

Adam started swimming lessons to get ready for the summer and also for water safety.

It was supposed to be simple to take the photo but, no, this happened.

 

Dinosaurs: Land of Fire and Ice

Colin enjoyed exploring the dinosaur exhibit at Crown Center. It's a traveling exhibit created by the Minnesota Children's Museum.

 

Recycling Holiday Lights

Many folks in and around Mission had Christmas lights to recycle. I do wonder where they end up. The manager at the desk didn't know.
 

Happy 4th Birthday!

We celebrated Colin's birthday with a Goldilocks and the Three Bears party. He was rarely still long enough to be photographed. I attempted to teach them how to build a birthday pyramid. Cousin Libby joined us.

Celebrating Kansas Day

The Eudora kindergarteners did a rousing musical of Kansas themed favorites for their program. Vala is in the center with a bison on her head. 
She was easy to spot in her hot pink.

Celebrating the Snow

We experimented with a snow volcano and made snow ice cream to take advantage of a snow day. It was an invigorating 1°.

Adam measured our snowfall at 5 inches.

Walking Warriors

I wanted to prove that we were indeed out walking early this morning in the bone-chilling cold. I didn't take time to focus carefully as I had to have my glove off to take the picture.
 

Wonder What Squirrels Do in the Cold?

You can see them here in the early morning up in the tree, all balled up. Seems precarious and cold.

 

Snow Fog

Howard created a snow fog clearing the driveway. It was a light, fine snow making it easy to clear. But just a bit nippy out there.

Genealogy Lab

I was all set up to scan slides at the Johnson County Library Genealogy Lab. It's not fast but you get good quality scans. That's Ron, the library volunteer.

A Trip to Madagascar

Adam's Gammy experience was a movie at the Extreme Screen at Union Station. We saw the 20th anniversary edition of "Madagascar." We had plenty of popcorn to start the movie.
