North Forest Lights

The light show titled North Forest Lights at Crystal Bridges was absolutely amazing. It's impossible for me to show in photos but I loved it. It's a special exhibit until February. This is just a couple of the stops.

To Infinity

The Infinity Mirrored Room at Crystal Bridges is a tiny room filled with mirrors and color-changing paper lanterns. A bit mind bending. If you look very closely you can see us in the center.

We're enjoying a birthday party in the basement. I'm at the end of the table and Susan is on the right front on her knees. Steve, of course, is squinting into the camera flood lights.

Crews have begun wrapping the trees at Sar-Ko-Par Trails Park in preparation for their holiday glow. It takes a lot of lights to create the lighting extravaganza.

Latest in Costume Design

At Book Group last night, Sadie Algren modeled this clever costume. Comes with a battery pack that you turn on to inflate it while wearing. Love it.

Hunter's Moon Rising

The Hunter's Moon was amazing as it rose last night. The closest full moon to the fall equinox, it is called Hunter's Moon because, according to the Farmer's Almanac, it's the best time for hunting.

Pumpkin Patch

A little cool, a little windy, a little muddy but the juniors didn't mind at all.

So Much Cable

So many spools of cable alongside Red Bridge Rd. Don't know what utility this is for but they are going to be busy, and disruptive. The color makes it look like a Halloween decoration though.

The Fisher Price toys of their parents are just as entertaining to this generation.

Bouncing with the Balls

We were the only ones at Toddler Time in the beginning so Lowell added all the balls to the trampoline and joined them.

Turning Pink

It actually looked more orange to me but the JC Nichols Fountain is colorful. It's intended to be pink for Breast Cancer Awareness but orange is OK too since it's October.

Serious Business

These two got very serious when I said I needed a nursery illustration, and then started dancing around after I took it.

I see that TP'ing someone is still in vogue. I wonder what precipitated this honor for the teenagers in this house.

Lest We Forget

"Lest We Forget" is a photography exhibit on the deck of the Liberty Memorial and features photo of living survivors of the Holocaust with their stories. Quite moving.
Luigi Toscano took portraits of almost 400 Holocaust survivors in the United States, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, Israel, Belarus, Austria and the Netherlands for the exhibit. It's at the World War I Museum until tomorrow but winds have caused it to be taken down a couple of times.

Pumpkins for Sale

The Colonial Church youth group sold pumpkins as a fundraiser and Stacy was the sales person this day.

Colonial Reunion

Lowell and I went to Baby Story Time at the library and encountered a former Colonial minister and her granddaughter and one of the youth who grew up at Colonial with her daughter. What a fun circumstance!

I love the little girl who lives here because each year she creates a sign and puts zinnias from their yard out for the taking with good wishes.
