Killed It
The Kansas City Country Club is undertaking a complete renovation of its golf course. So instead of gazing upon its lush green acres, we see this. Seems it's going to cost them several million dollars for this and for now we have this. With the current temperature approaching 100 degrees, looks more like a desert.

Time to Say Farewell
The Parade of Hearts is ending and removal has begun. They are being auctioned off for charity. Here is the new street car backed by the old trolley on the Back on Track heart by artist Ben Walters. No hearts next year and then a new format is coming in 2026. Stay tuned.

Receiving His Blessing
Pastor Michael called all teachers/educators, active or retired, to come forward for a blessing as the school year starts. Colin popped right up with Hayden and stayed for the blessing. We thought he would rush to sit down after he realized he was the only kid but he did not.

On to College
Dodger, a Canine Companion in training, has been attending Colonial for a year under the guidance of his handler, Marion. She took him on as a puppy and now he goes to headquarters in Ohio to see who he is best suited to help. He got a blessing to send him on his way.

The Littlest Matryoshka
We brought a set of nesting dolls and the book "The Littlest Matroyshka" back for the grandkids - one for the Kerns and one for the Fergusons. I was reading the book to them and Adam had the dolls lined up.

Bringing the Goods
VBS Camp ended during worship with the kids bringing in a kayak they had filled with household goods for the Cross-Lines Christmas Store.
