I caught this fairy coming out of her tree home in Franklin Park. We don't know why the tree is cut like this but the kids enjoy it.

Climbing with One Hand

National Geographic Live presented paraclimber Maureen Beck last night explaining how she learned how to rock climb one-handed. She was born without a left hand and chose rock climbing as a way to prove she could do anything. She now works with those with disabilities to teach them how.
 

Adventures at Crown Center

We trotted over to Union Station and then visited Animal Tails and Trails at Crown Center for Presidents Day.

Pie for the People!

We didn't get to eat in Upper Crust but we were able to pick up a pie flight to enjoy. "Eat More Pie" included a slice of apple crumble, peach and raspberry sourcream. Delicious. We hope for COVID restrictions to end so we can enjoy it in house ala mode.

Bagged and Ready

I had the pleasure of bagging 5 dozen Valentine cookies for church yesterday as a surprise gift after the services. At least I didn't have to bake and decorate them.

My crack team of bakers helped create and decorate Valentine cookies. Even Colin made a showing.

Isabella is more interested in using the scratching apparatus for sleeping than scratching.

Pizza Party

Adam moved in with us while his baby brother was being born and Pastor Aaron kindly provided us with pizza for dinner so we had some fun. We have a full house.
 

Enjoying the Warmth

Miss Vala had a rough couple of days but she is better just as the weather gave us a nice warm day so we took advantage. Glad her illness has gone.
