Crabapple Carpet

The berries may be messy but crabapple trees are gorgeous in the spring.

Spring Splendor

I just love the dogwoods. They seem to have escaped the cold.

Moonglow

Finally days are light enough to illuminate my garden art. I particularly like this one.

I don't know where Steve was but the rest of us were enjoying a spring day in 2005.

Lilac Snow

The lilacs enjoyed a snow cap briefly. I'm hoping the blooms don't succumb to winter's last (hopefully) blast.

It's All About the Standing

Vala does not like to be sitting now. She doesn't move forward but she wants to stand.

Ensnared

But artfully, and intentionally, so.

Miniature golf with an artistic flair has returned to the Nelson Atkins. Known as the Art Course, the 9-hole course features works from the gallery's collection on each hole.

Poetry Walk

The Johnson County Library posted these signs with poetry by Kansas City writers in Franklin Park. You take a self-guided tour of 35 poems with art on each sign and a QR code that when scanned provides a recording of the work by the author. Nice way to bring poetry to the masses who utilize the park.

Artist Lives Here

Perhaps its the home builder and not the resident of this home that's the artist but it's a picturesque dwelling.

No matter how rough the conditions, you can bloom.

Light on Watering

I loved the light on these colorful watering cans. Don't know how useful they are but they're pretty.

Lunch on the Road

This is lunch with toddlers when you're on the road. Hayden seems to enjoy the crown.

Zoo Tracks

Lowell was all about the map at the Kansas City Zoo and being sure we found all the animals. I was priviledged to be invited on their spring break outing.

Egg Artisans

Too much Easter fun so I needed a little run over to today with photos. We ended up with some dyed fingers but egg dyeing was delightful.

Now This Is Easter

So nice to have a family Easter again. And the weather couldn't have been better. Next year we'll add church.

Spring Sprinkles

A new art installation for spring at the Kauffman Garden is quite fun. Named Sprinkles, it includes 1,000 yarn tassels.
