Morgan is welcoming 2000 with a popper. Grace seems totally uninterested.

A Christmas Star
Village Presbyterian Church created this star on Christmas Eve on their lawn. With it was a walk of scripture to give the Christmas experience even without a service to gather. People wrote on some tiny pie tins with messages of hope. It will "shine" through Epiphany.

Adam Watching Adam
Because we couldn't have the pageant this year, Colonial broadcast the 2019 pageant, when Adam was Baby Jesus. He and Stacy watched.
Because It Never Gets Old
Our classic 1960 Christmas Eve photo. Steve is the photographer for our annual Christmas eve candle-lighting service at home.

All the Inflatables There Are
I believe this homeowner has every Christmas inflatable that is on the market. They even created a path through the middle so you could wander closer to them.

Scrambled Nativity
I introduced Vala to our nativity set but she felt a different arrangement was in order. Her expression is a bit of "What? I like this." 😀 I created it as a child friendly set.

So Much Holiday Cheer
I'm enjoying the over-the-top Christmas displays this year. This one certainly has a bit of everything.

Party Time
Topher is turning 3 and Erin planned an outdoor party to meet the protocols of the time. It was cold but nice to celebrate. Erin planned it to be short and distanced. It wasn't too long before Topher announced it was cold and he was ready to go home. Strange times.

Festival of Lights
The Festival of Lights at Powell Gardens was spectacular. And it was delightful to share it with family.
I had to include this one so you can see that Vala was there.

The Wait Is Long
Visiting Santa in 1998 at Crown Center. I'm sure Hayden and Stacy were less than thrilled to wait in the endless line for Santa. I see Scott and Kelly hanging out in the back.

Ready for Advent
I had to arrange the poinsettias this year as Hayden wasn't going to have the opportunity. It's not fantastic but it will work since it's only the backdrop for online worship.

Moon Over Christmas
Plaza lights shine brightly beneath the full moon. Notice the complete lack of traffic for a week night. Another effect of COVID.

Sparkling Head Fashion
Vala is happy with her helmet, beautified by her parents with sparkles and a bow. She also has a custom decal on the back – a play on the Wonder Woman emblem but a V.

This is the underside of the water tower at Minor Park Golf Course. I found it an interesting vantage.

A Pass from Mahomes
I was entertained at the traffic light by Mahomes on the rear window wiper. Apparently the driver could tell I was taking a picture because he started the wiper so I could see the throw in action.

A New Take on Thanksgiving
Mixing Thanksgiving with the Chiefs. I'm thankful for the Chiefs and the diversion they provide so I support this.

Thanksgiving 2020 Style
No sit-down dinner but a family outdoor gathering to celebrate Howard's birthday and Vala's first Thanksgiving. Ending with a gorgeous sunset.

Inflating Balloons
On a cold and rainy night in 2013, we had the privilege of watching them inflate the Macy's parade balloons. In light of the limited parade expected today, I'm so glad we got the full experience of Thanksgiving in New York.
