Quilt Blessing to the Community

The Colonial Church Quiltmakers created more than 100 quilts over the past year which we blessed yesterday before they are delivered – to Children’s Mercy, Della Lamb Center, Growing Futures, Head Start KCKS, Hope Lodge, KC4 Refugees, KU Pediatrics, Operation Breakthrough, Project Eagle, Rotaplast International, Safe Home, Sheffield Place and Truman Med Center. Impressive!

This artist is working on his piece for the KC Crossroads mural festival – SpraySeeMo. The idea is to make Kansas City into a mural-laden town that "promotes creative expression and exploration; sort of an art-mecca of midwest design." More than 40 artists, local and national, are participating in the event this week into Sunday.
