This could make for a colorful sunroom.

Shifting Floor

They installed a new wooden floor (over the carpet as you can see) last fall at Jazzercise. Slowly the floor has been shifting. Now I have this fairly large gap appearing near where I stand and in other places around the room. Seems like someone should fix this.

The Din on the Roof

Yesterday we had all kinds of weather, including this hail storm while Howard was at Minor Park. His car, not shown here, sustained some damage. He had to hang up while I was talking to him as the sound on the roof was so loud he couldn't hear over it. Listen below.

At the Park

Hayden with her grandparents at Antioch Park in 1982. It was a windy March day so they thought she needed her bonnet but they put it on her upside down.

How Does It Come to This?

I have addressed an envelope upside down but I have never done this. Why would you not put the stamp and return label the same direction as the address, regardless if one was improperly placed?

Unchanged

Bobo's Drive-in remains unchanged. The burgers are still great. It's been a staple of Topeka dining since 1948. You don't have a button to push to call the car hop, they just have to see you. I had a lot of slices of apple pie when we lived in Topeka.

I'm Grateful

As annoyed as I was to wake up yesterday morning to snow, at least it's better than a year ago. So I'm grateful.

If you're going to drive to the playground, it's good to park properly.

Morning Marvel

Yesterday morning's sunrise. It has to be a good day when it starts with this splendor.

What Was the Thought?

I'm not sure what they are protecting from winter weather but who would want to look at this all winter long? I can't wait for the unveiling to see what was so precious.

And the Answer Is

The photo yesterday was taken from the backside of this cross at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. I loved the shadow it created but it's a cool looking cross in its own right.

Pansy Time

Might still be a little cold but their time is at hand.

What's Guarding Your House?

You probably wish it was this giant green gargoyle. A bit too large to actually put on this house's roof, where gargoyles are supposed to be.

It's Coming! It's Coming!

A little later than normal, but the crocuses are pushing up. Yeah! (Makes the acorn top look really large.)

Chris Jensen Celebrates a Birthday

On the occasion of Chris' 7th birthday in 1954, with Steve and I looking on. Notice the "new" melmac dishes and the Fostoria glasses. Not sure if it was actually March 7 but probably close.

Dressing the Statuary

Apparently it's a trend to clothe your statuary. I guess it brightens the barren landscape. This one's apparel is tiny. Perhaps the homeowner knitted it.

Unwelcome Accomplishments

So we broke the record for low temp in March. Our thermometer showed it at -2 without windchill. Mother Nature, it's March. We're done with this.

Can You Identify This?

It's Cantasia (get it, like Fantasia?). To see the other entries and to vote for your favorite in the Canstruction contest, click here. (I am refusing to acknowledge the dreadful cold and snow outside and instead showing creative endeavors.)
