Lauren at my office has posted her colors. She was not happy after game 1 but now the Cards have evened the series with the Red Sox and brought the game to St. Louis.
We saw a fantastic production of Wicked at the Music Hall. As you can see below, lights in the theater were not conducive to good photos, even before the show.
My friend Russ has been on a pilgrimage over the last year to find famous, and some not so famous, KU people to sign a book for his young nephews. The book is "Kansas Jayhawks ABCs and 1-2-3s." He has only the Q left, I believe. You can see Bob Dole's signature. Below Brian McClendon is signing the book for "X." McClendon is the creator of Google Earth and as Lawrence is the default center point of Google Earth, X marks the spot. (Sometimes Russ has needed to be creative in getting his letters signed.) Brian was the grand marshal for the KU homecoming parade and thus was available to sign the book.
At the Cerner Health Conference that opened today, these buttons are available for participants. Are you an Encourager, Trailblazer, Pioneer, Influencer?
Following the homecoming parade, we had the Zombie Walk in Lawrence. Most were quite gory so I opted for this couple instead. What a bizarre collection of folk, and what a bizarre tradition. Apparently they have it the first Thursday of October each year.
